Rules applicable to every campaign. Sections 1 to 5 apply to every Juno Influence campaign, since Juno is a French company and the campaigns are governed by French law; they apply in any event whenever content targets, in particular, a public in France. Section 6 adds the rules of the countries in which the content is produced or published, or whose public it targets. Where several rules apply, the strictest one is followed.
1. Mandatory disclosures on each piece of content
- Any content of a Juno campaign (paid or gifting) · Disclosure : "Publicité" or "Collaboration commerciale" (French for "Advertising" / "Commercial collaboration"), followed by the brand's name, for content targeting a public in France; for other audiences, a disclosure of equivalent clarity in the language of the audience (for example "Advertisement" or "Paid partnership with [Brand]"), together with any disclosure specifically required by local law · Rule : Clear, legible and understandable, on every medium used: in the video or image itself, not only in the caption or hashtags. To be displayed from the beginning of the content. The platform's "paid partnership" tool supplements the disclosure, it does not replace it.
- Image in which the body shape (slimmed, enlarged) or face has been altered by a processing technique · Disclosure : "Images retouchées" ("Retouched images") · Rule : Clear, legible, understandable, on the image
- Image of a face or body produced by artificial intelligence · Disclosure : "Images virtuelles" ("Virtual images") · Rule : idem
- Promotion of vocational training eligible for funding through the French personal training account (compte personnel de formation) · Disclosure : Notices provided for by Article 5 II of the French Influencer Law and its implementing texts · Rule : Juno provides the exact wording on a case-by-case basis
Recommended wording: "Collaboration commerciale avec [Brand]" (or, for a non-French audience, "Paid partnership with [Brand]") as an overlay in the first seconds, and "Publicité" (or "Advertisement" / "#ad") in the caption.
Vague or hidden wording is prohibited: "thanks to [Brand]", "sponso" on its own, a disclosure buried among hashtags or displayed only at the end of a video.
Penalty for missing disclosure under French law: misleading commercial practice (Article 5-2 of the French Influencer Law, Articles L.121-3 and L.132-2 of the French Consumer Code).
2. Prohibited products and services (no campaign possible)
- Procedures, processes, techniques and methods for aesthetic purposes, and cosmetic surgery.
- Non-therapeutic products, procedures or methods presented as comparable, preferable or substitutable to medical treatment.
- Nicotine products (including electronic cigarettes and nicotine pouches).
- Animals not included on the list of species that may be kept (except authorised establishments).
- Financial contracts, crypto-asset services and crypto-assets, unless the advertiser holds the required authorisation or licence (EU MiCA Regulation, French Monetary and Financial Code) and Juno has verified it.
- Subscriptions to sports betting tips.
- From 1 January 2027: products falling within ultra-fast fashion, and the brands that use it (Article 4 IV bis of the French Influencer Law, created by Law No. 2026-602).
3. Regulated sectors (prior approval by Juno mandatory)
A campaign in one of these sectors is launched only after Juno has approved the brief and the disclosures in writing.
- Gambling and games of chance (sports betting, poker, lottery) · Main rule : Only on platforms that allow under-18s to be excluded, with the exclusion activated; notice that minors are prohibited; operator licensed by the ANJ (French gambling authority); specific clause in the contract. Juno may refuse this sector.
- Alcoholic beverages · Main rule : Loi Évin (Articles L.3323-2 et seq. of the French Public Health Code): objective and informative content only, no link with partying, sport or social success, mandatory health message. Juno may refuse this sector.
- Medicines, medical devices · Main rule : Advertising to the public is strictly regulated (ANSM approvals): refused by default.
- Food supplements, health and nutrition claims · Main rule : Only the claims authorised by Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 and its lists.
- Food and drinks with added sugars, salt or sweeteners, processed food products · Main rule : Mandatory health message (Article L.2133-1 of the French Public Health Code).
- Authorised financial products, credit · Main rule : Mandatory notices under the French Monetary and Financial Code and Consumer Code. Licensed advertiser.
- Cosmetics · Main rule : Substantiated claims (Regulation (EU) No 655/2013). No therapeutic promise.
- Vocational training · Main rule : Notices under Article 5 II of the French Influencer Law.
- Products intended for children, content featuring minors · Main rule : No minor under 16 as the main subject without the written consent of Juno and the legal representatives (French Law No. 2020-1266).
4. General rules of fair dealing
- Promote only a product that the Creator has actually received or tried where the content suggests so.
- No claim that the brand cannot substantiate ("the best", "100% natural", "cures", "clinically proven") without supporting evidence provided in the brief.
- No fake reviews, no misleading before/after, no inaccurate price or promotion.
- Promo codes and affiliate links are identified as such.
- Compliance with each platform's terms of use (branded content tool, advertising policy).
5. What Juno does
- Juno checks the category of each campaign before payment and refuses prohibited products.
- Juno recalls the required disclosures in each brief.
- Juno reviews content submitted before publication, and then the publications.
- Content published without the required disclosures must be corrected within 24 hours at Juno's request. Failing that, payment is suspended (dispute) and the agreement may be terminated.
6. Additional rules by country
6.1. United Arab Emirates
Applicable where the Creator resides in the United Arab Emirates, produces or publishes advertising content from within the United Arab Emirates, or targets the public in the United Arab Emirates, and where the campaign is published in or targets the United Arab Emirates.
- Advertiser Permit. Publishing advertising content on social media from within the UAE, whether or not for consideration, requires an Advertiser Permit issued by the UAE federal media authority (UAE Media Council, or any authority replacing it); a Creator visiting the UAE needs a Visitor Advertiser Permit, applied for through an advertising or talent management agency accredited by that authority. The resident permit depends on a valid commercial licence for the relevant activity. The Creator holds the permit before publication, keeps it valid throughout the mission, displays the permit number where required, and publishes only from the account registered with the authority. The Creator provides proof to Juno on request.
- Disclosure. Advertising content is clearly identified as advertising and distinguished from other content, from the beginning of the content or description; the disclosure is not hidden among other hashtags.
- Media content standards. Content complies with the media content standards applicable in the UAE (in particular respect for religions, national symbols, public morals, privacy and children's rights, and the prohibition of false or misleading information).
- Specialised advertising. Advertising in certain sectors (for example real estate, healthcare, finance, education, food) requires prior approval from the competent authority. The Brand obtains it and provides it in the brief; no such campaign is published without it.
- Juno's control. Juno may request proof of the permit before sending an offer or before publication, and may refuse, suspend or terminate a mission if the permit is missing, has expired, or has been suspended or cancelled.
6.2. Other countries
The Creator and the Brand comply with the advertising disclosure, registration and permit requirements of each other country in which the content is produced or published or whose public it targets. Juno may specify them in the brief.
